Last week, we held a 'get together' of quilters at our shop in Gordon's Bay. The one thing that we all had in common was an interest in Dear Jane Quilts and so we invited Tutu Haynes-Smart to come and talk to us and show us the two quilts she had made. 'Dear Jane' and 'Baby Jane' are registered by Brenda Papadakis and her book, 'Dear Jane' was inspired by the 1863 Jane A Stickle Quilt Thanks to Tutu Haynes-Smart for permission to use a photo of her 'Dear Jane' Quilt

So we showed you the biggest quilt in South Africa yesterday (and yes it is real and made out of fabric), and today, Jazmin has just finished this quilt! It's for the new dollshouse we have almost finished. And just for good luck, she also decided to make a welcome mat! There's a centimetre ruler alongside so you can see just how small they are!

Thanks to everyone who has supported Jazmin Patchwork & Quilting's favourite charities this month! These baby sweaters and hats have been knitted by ladies groups in England and sent to South Africa for children in need. We have given them to Cotlands (a sanctuary for abandoned, abused and orphaned children), and Hottentot Holland Hospital Helpers (who provide much needed clothing and blankets for new born babies).
